 AGB offer both male and female participation in Gaelic sports. This starts at a youth level. Within the ages of 5 – 11 girls and boys participate together in the sports. This works well and is seen as an important aspect of female involvement. From the age of ten, the Club fields girls teams and ultimately, a senior female team. These teams have their own coaches to facilitate their development. This includes all of the same facilities and opportunities as their male counterparts. The female membership continues to grow and is part of the strategic development of the Club.
This gender mix is also extended to the management of the Club, with female members filling two positions on the Executive Committee and also numerous positions throughout the sub-committees.
