Arklow Community Enterprise was established in 1997 to combat long-term unemployment and social exclusion in Arklow through a community approach.
Its mission is to bring about effective social development at local level by promoting a shared vision among groups and organisations in Arklow.
ACE is one of thirty-three local companies established by the government to promote local development and to tackle social exclusion.
Since ACE was set up it has been involved in a wide range of activities such as Educational Training Programmes, Community Development, Enterprise and Environmental Programmes.
Services offered:-
ACE offer the following services to new and small businesses in the Arklow area
advice on creating a business plan
advertising and marketing
customer service and how to apply for grants.
Subject to certain conditions your business may qualify for a grant from ACE.
ACE offer training courses aimed at the new or small business. All courses run in Arklow town and businesses within the town receive first priority. The courses are held throughout the year, some of which are listed below. Details can be obtained from Dympna Boffey at arklowace@eircom.net Dates of up and coming courses will be advertised in our training section.
