On Sat last the AGB U 10 girls teams took part in their first football blitz of the season. This was a big occasion for the players as for most of them it was their very first football match. The blitz was organised by AGB and neighbouring teams St. Pats from Wicklow and Naomh Eanna from Gorey helped to make it a success by bringing along three U 10 teams. Altogether six teams participated which ensured that all players got plenty of opportunity to put into practice the football skills that they have been learning since February.
Three teams from AGB participated and each team played to a high standard and with great team spirit. It was a bright dry day and it was especially nice to see so many Mums, Dads and siblings from all teams there to support these young girls. The morning finished up with some light refreshments for all participants who played so well.
We don't know who won on the day but we do know there were definitely no losers. Many thanks to all who helped out in any way to make this blitz a very enjoyable morning.
