The U10 AGB girl’s team travelled to St Pats on Saturday 26th June to play in their second blitz this season and put in some fine performances throughout the day. AGB entered two teams with both teams playing some exciting football. The girls gained valuable experience and got the chance to play in various positions throughout each game.
It would be hard to pick out any individuals with each girl contributing greatly and displaying some great skills. What was equally impressive was the girls work rate and their support play for each other on and off the ball, not to mention their singing on the side line cheering on and supporting their team mates!
A big thank you to St Pats, in particular Stephen McNulty for organizing such a well run blitz. The girls thoroughly enjoyed each of the 6 games they took part in, giving them a great opportunity to put the skills they’re learning in training into practice. There is huge potential in this team and no doubt plenty of stars for the future. Well done girls –keep up the great work!
It was also great to see so many of the girl’s parents in Wicklow showing their support so positively on the side line. Training continues every Thursday at 5.45 - 7 on the juvenile pitch in Pearse Park. All new players very welcome! Come on the Gers!
